| each piece is handcrafted by me from recycled 99.9% Fine Silver, which is more pure than sterling (92.5%). called Precious Metal Clay, it is actually micro fine particles of recycled silver suspended in a clay-like binder. I mold, form or sculpt it into my design, then fire it at 1300 degrees to burn off the binder and fuse the particles together. my design is then tumbled to polish and strengthen it and I either leave it with this bright polished finish, brush it for a matte finish or an antique patina is added to bring out the details. finally, it is hand polished to a beautiful shine. . |
